In 2022, the association I-DEJAS MĀJA, in collaboration with the Norwegian Theatre K:13 SCENEKUNST from Bergen created an art project for young people. The K:13 theatre company arrived in Riga for the first meeting and creative workshop from the 18th to the 19th of February. On the 18th of February, at 19:00 the company presented the project idea and the K: 13 interactive show Romeo and Juliet at the Gertrude Street Theatre. After the performance, the audience met with the project team. Curator Sanita Duka presented the creative idea and the Norwegian artistic team – Jorunn Sofie Lullau, Steinar Thorsen, Charlotte Faaberg-Johansen – who shared their experiences with the interactive theatre form.
I-DEJAS MĀJA in collaboration with theatre company K:13 from will create a participatory art project. Within the framework of the project, the Norwegian partners will share their experience in the use of interactive and immersive theatre tools, lead seminars and workshops, and create a performance <<Peers>> that includes audience participation. The project will culminate in the autumn of 2022 with an exhibition, which, with the participation of the audience, will become a performance. It will be an exhibition = performance.
The Association I-DANCE HOUSE applied for, and received a grant of 126,550 euro to implement project Art Activism: Take Part Take Care (EEZ 2021/1/13) as part of the Support for the Creation of Professional Art and Cultural Products for Children and Youth project under the auspices of the European Economic Area Financial Instrument program entitled Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Cultural Cooperation for the period 2014-2021.
